About Avery Reeves
As a multi-material, versatile artist, I delve deeply into the roller coaster of introspection, embracing the shadows within.
My art is a fusion of diverse mediums, from paint to found objects, each piece a testament to the limitless possibilities of expression. I believe our darker sides are not fleeting moments but essential facets of our beauty. I create as a way to cathartically release the complex emotional weight of trauma, fear, and deeply rooted psychological experiences. My practice is grounded in personal narrative, and through it, I explore the ways in which trauma resides in the subconscious, and how this is carried throughout day to day life. Here I welcome you watch me explore what it means to hold trauma and pain, and yet make space for laughter and catharsis.
